After taking guitar lessons throughout high school and winning many prestigious awards in
music competition, Mike went on to study jazz music and composition at Holyoke Community College (2002-05) where he earned an Associate's Degree in Music. Beginning with and exceeding his years at HCC, Mike
also studied with Tom Kopyto, to whom he credits the greatest amount of his musical influence. Mike currently plays throughout New
England with the 80's tribute band Aquanett as well as Boston-based progressive metal band Frozen. His debut instrumental CD "Native Alien" was released internationally in 2010. "Whether playing guitar is just a way to escape and have fun or the dream of playing original music in front of thousands of fans, everything I teach is
designed specifically for the student to help realize her/his goals." |
